Traditionally Hindu scripts believe that there are 88,000 chakra points in the human body. But out of these, seven chakras form the vital points for the flow of chi along the spinal column to the crown of the head.

From the base of the spine and upward, we have the root chakra, navel chakra, the stomach or solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the brow or third eye chakra and the crown chakra which forms the seven major chakras of the body. These chakras are the main receiving and transmitting energy points in the human body influencing the spiritual, mystical, emotional, intellectual, corporeal and psychological conditions of the person.

There is one common characteristic that all of the descriptions of Chakras share. This common characteristic is that it is the mystical and spiritual understanding of a person’s experiences or the modern understanding of the human thought process. This is what the Hindus think Chakras truly are.

Because of the constant movement it helps to influence such things on a person like: physical disorders, they are body is structured, or appearance, glandular processes, the way we conduct ourselves and the way we think. It is safe to say that if just one of our chakra’s is not working properly, we can suffer with an imbalance that can affect our whole body.

It is believed that this is due to the chakras being connected to the endocrine glad that is found in our body. If a chakra gets off balance at all then we can have what is called a disturbance in the normal behavior of the endocrine gland and all that is attached or linked to it.

Now maintaining equilibrium with the chakras by utilising the above mentioned points in the introduction, we can confidently assume that the majority of the ailments or illnesses are related to chakra imbalance. Even though there may not be enough materialization of imbalance for illnesses, there may be certain concerns or emotions that influence us from our childhood, spiritually, emotionally and physically.

There are many people that say that one of the biggest issues with an unbalanced chakra is when people carry around emotional issues. These are generally from their past and in order for them to fix things they will need to address these issues to move on.

Thus it is essential to remove the emotional baggage from our minds in order to properly balance the chakras.

The human body requires chakra healing. By utilization of several techniques like therapy, aromatherapy, Reiki healing or using crystals, gemstones or a pendulum can affect chakras effectively.
